Municipalities Can Apply for Capital Project Funding

PEMAC is pleased to share the latest news for municipalities from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).

Municipalities across Canada can apply now for funding to assist with capital projects. Applications are due by August 1, 2019 but we encourage you to early. 

Do you have plans to construct a new net-zero municipal building or retrofit an existing municipal facility? Are you trying to find new ways to connect commuters to park-and-ride facilities or implement an innovative financing mechanism or business model? FCM’s Green Municipal Fund (GMF) provides funding to Canadian municipalities for innovative environmental capital projects like these and more.

Learn more and apply today for a loan of $5 to $10 million combined with a grant for your municipal projects related to energy efficiency and recovery; water quality and conservation; transportation and fuel efficiency; waste management and diversion; or brownfields.
