This is a leadership opportunity to lead a regional chapter and related Executive Team to advance PEMAC's work and support PEMAC members in regions across Canada by planning events, facilitating networking opportunities and disseminating knowledge. The Chapter President acts as a liaison between the regions and PEMAC's national operations.
We are seeking one candidate who lives in the region noted for a two-year term. Applications for the position will operate on a first-come-first served basis and the posting will remain active until a qualified candidate is approved for the role.
Tasks:
- Complete the volunteer engagement process as outlined
- Complete an orientations: (1) Steward Orientation (with the Volunteer Engagement Specialist), and (2) to the role itself with Ghaz Marinho as needed
- Review existing Chapter finances and planning for alignment with PEMAC strategic goals and objectives
- Strategize, guide and advance the planning an implementation of Chapter initiatives
- Liaise with PEMAC head office (Ghaz Marinho) as needed
- Participate in PEMAC reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and meetings as needed
Competencies:
- Leadership and team coordination skills
- Knowledge of regional chapter activities an asset
- Knowledge of PEMAC's strategic plan and objectives
- Able to coordinate financial, planning and reporting relating to an initiative according to standards
- Able to facilitate team engagement based on each team member's engagement style
- Able to work to deadlines
- Experience leading teams and meetings
- Experience planning and guiding team on tasks to reach milestones
