PEMAC's Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor Now On-Demand

Category:

MISSISSAUGA, (September 27, 2023) – PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada is pleased to announce that it’s Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor course will now be available on-demand through Northern Lakes College.

Developed and authorized by PEMAC, this course prepares asset management professionals who are considering writing the Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) Exam. The CAMA certification, which has been designed by the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM), establishes an individual's credentials in asset management knowledge and comprehension, globally.

The CAMA certification is awarded following successful completion of an exam combined with required experience. It provides global recognition for current or future asset management assessors, but also has a broader benefit. Professionals who wish to demonstrate their understanding of genuine asset management and the new standard for management systems for asset management, for which ISO 55001 exists, will also find this course and certification valuable.

“Since it’s launch over five years ago, PEMAC’s Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor course has been providing asset management professionals an efficient overview of the recommended preparation material for the CAMA Exam, while strengthening their understanding of true asset management,” shares Nicolle Guillen, PEMAC’s Professional Development and Education Manager.
This course has been independently designed and maintained by a group of PEMAC expert volunteers. It provides participants with insights into the ISO 5500x framework of documents; the GFMAM Asset Management Landscape; and the GFMAM Competency Specification which indicates what ISO 5500x Asset Management Systems Assessors must know to complete tasks effectively.

The Becoming a Certified Asset Management Assessor course is now available through Northern Lakes College via NLC Anytime, Anywhere, providing the ultimate in flexibility. Course participants will be able to begin the course anytime, and work through the fourteen hours of recorded lessons and activities at their own pace. They will have full access to the online classroom for up to three months and will be supported by an instructor throughout their learning journey.

The course is ideal for senior and mid-career professionals from any sector who wish to refresh and increase their asset management knowledge while reducing exam preparation stress. The curriculum will benefit participants from a wide range of backgrounds and industries. There are tremendous opportunities to gain valuable skills even if participants are not interested in participating in the CAMA exam.
