The Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification program developed by PEMAC, is comprised of eight modules. The program focusses on the tools, techniques, strategies and skills necessary for effective management of a business’s existing physical assets. It provides training and accreditation to those aspiring to, or already in, maintenance management or supervisory positions. Certified MMPs have the knowledge and skills to drive improvements in uptime, production capacity, equipment reliability, safety, environmental compliance, economic life of assets, return on investment and effective communication between departments.
Registration is now open for a special delivery of MMP Module 1: An Integrated Strategy for Maintenance Management.
This first module in the program will be delivered in person by Northern Lake College in conjunction with PEMAC's MainTrain 2025 Conference in Calgary, Alberta, over two full days.

Registraiton fee: $895 plus tax
MMP Module 1 registration fee includes:
- All course material (textbook and workbook)
- Access to Northern Lakes College learning management system
- Access to MainTrain conference keynote speakers on Monday and Tuesday
- Breakfast, lunch and breaks on Monday and Tuesday
- Networking opportunities with conference attendees
MMP Module 1 registration fee does NOT include:
- Access to MainTrain conference on Wednesday is not included. A separate day pass can be purchased for full access to the third day of the conference that includes the keynote, presentations, breakfast, lunch & break, as well as the many networking opportunities. The single day pass is $425 plus tax. Contact pd@pemac.org to purchase this pass.
- Awards banquet on Tuesday evening is not included: Tickets can be purchased separately.
About MMP Module 1:
Based on the course text, “Uptime 3”, Module 1 develops the framework for thinking about a strategic approach to maintenance management that is integrated with the business. Drawing on the elements presented in the “Maintenance Excellence Pyramid” of Uptime, participants in Module 1 will learn how strategy, people, basic care, materials management, performance management, work management, support systems, and tools such as RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) can work together to build a culture of excellence.
