Asset Management Professional

Developed in 2014, the Asset  Management Professional (AMP) certification program introduces participants to the latest in strategic asset management thinking, builds knowledge and skill in key subject areas, including risk and knowledge management and provides tools for strategic decision making at each stage of the asset life cycle. 

The program is designed for  mid-career professionals, from a variety of backgrounds, including engineering, business management and information technology, responsible for managing decisions with respect to an asset's core life cycle functions, such as design, selection, operation and maintenance. 

Content in the six courses promote discussion on asset management models and tools, organization cross functional alignment and return on investment, providing participants with broad, practical understanding and a readiness to collaborate with others in their organization in the promotion and implementation of asset management principles.

The Asset Management Professional courses are delivered through Northern Lakes College, through asynchronous online learning.

Each course is broken down into ‘weeks’ of work. Complete weekly activities on your own schedule, and find opportunities to connect with classmates and instructors through the online discussion forums.

A variety of courses are available each Fall, Winter and Spring term.

CAMP Certification

Completing all six courses the program is a permanent accomplishment. You will receive a certificate of completion from the teaching institution where you studied that does not expire.

The CAMP certification from PEMAC, is an education based certification that provides the right to use the letters "CAMP" behind your name. This is distinct from the education program, and is granted to those who have successfully completed, or received credit through Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR), for the six courses of the AMP education program and who maintain the requirements of certification. A separate application to PEMAC is required.
