Great week at SMRP Virtual Conference
For the first time, Northern Lakes College and PEMAC participated together in this year's annual SMRP conference that took place Monday, October 19 to Wednesday October 21 online. The conference attracted over 600 practitioners from around the world. Attendees participated in workshops, presentations and a robust exhibitor hall, all from the comfort of their computer, tablet or mobile.
With a wide range of workshops and presentations, there were a variety of topics and speakers throughout the week that participants could watch live, or catch the recorded session of. PEMAC's Board of Director member, James Kovacevic hosted a workshop at this year's SMRP conference.
Edith Mackenzie from Northern Lakes College and Nicolle Guillen from PEMAC staffed the joint exhibit, and had the pleasure to interact with a variety of professionals from across Canada, the United States and even as far as Qatar. They shared details about the MMP and AMP education programs with visitors and connected with other exhibitors in the virtual exhibit hall.
PEMAC's Nicolle Guillen, spoke to visitors about PEMAC's education programs during the 3-day conference.
They also hosted a few polls during the exhibitor hall as well that revealed that 80% of people who participated in the poll have pursued professional development opportunities while working from home. Another poll of visitors revealed that 50% had a professional certification in AM and/or maintenance management.
It's always a pleasure to connect with practitioners around the globe and we are glad to have participated.
Congratulations to SMRP on a successful online conference.
