Alberta Chapter Breakfast Meeting - Calgary

The PEMAC Alberta Chapter and Bow Valley College are teaming up to bring 2 high-level speakers to a breakfast meeting on Tuesday April 30th, 2013 at the Bow Valley College campus in downtown Calgary.

David McKeown is the CEO of the Institute for Asset Management (IAM), the organization which initiated the ISO 5500x development process. The IAM also initated, promotes and supports the publicly available specification on Asset Management, PAS55.

John Hardwick is the chairman of the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) as well as Chairman of the Asset Management Council (AMC) of Australia. John has worked and studied his way from electrician to MBA. He currently holds the position of Executive Manager Maintenance and Replacement Planning at Ausgrid, the power utility of NSW Australia.

Both David and John speak articulately from first-hand experience about the benefits of strategic Asset Management. Having participated in the ISO process from its inception, they are passionate about the potential power of standardization as a guideline to help many more organizations achieve these benefits.
