In 2012, Water launched a comprehensive program (Secondary Water Supply Facilities Rehabilitation Program) which included assessing the condition of 18 pump stations. The results of this program ranked the Shaganappi Pump Station as the most critical based on the condition of the equipment, the relatively large population and number of critical institutions it services. In this session you will learn how this pump station effectively implemented a condition-based maintenance strategy, and how you can utilize some of the learnings in your own environment to minimize and control risk, and create an effective infrastructure.
Jennifer is a professional engineer, project management professional and maintenance management professional. She has worked at the City of Calgary for over 5 years at a maintenance engineer in Water Treatment Plants. Her main focus is on maintenance strategy planning and management, process mapping, RCM analysis, optimization and benchmarking. She has recently joined Calgary Fire Department (CFD) as a senior Infrastructure Engineer in the Infrastructure Planning team. In this new role, she is responsible for infrastructure investment planning, operation and maintenance strategic planning, performance management, asset management and TCA reporting, process and best business practices management.
