PEMAC Announces the MainTrain 2021 Online Conference Program
MISSISSAUGA, (June 29, 2021) – The organizing committee of the annual MainTrain Maintenance, Reliability and Asset Management Conference is proud to announce that the program for this year’s conference has been released. This year’s event is once again being hosted online, making it easier for professionals around the world to connect, learn and contribute at Canada’s leading maintenance, reliability and asset management event.
“This year we aimed to provide delegates from across Canada and around the world multiple options and opportunities to connect and learn online. We look forward to when we can next host MainTrain in person. In the meantime we are excited for the opportunity to once again leverage the available technology to create a platform for professionals interested in maintenance, reliability and asset management to advance their knowledge and make connections with others around the world.” - Ghaz Marinho, PEMAC Events Coordinator.
MainTrain 2021 will be an intensive online 2-day event held on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 28th & 29th. The main conference schedule is divided into four (4) tracks: Maintenance, Reliability, Asset Management and Technology, featuring case studies, plenary sessions, and panel discussions. In addition to the 2-day event, the committee has planned a series of value-added sessions and discounted course offerings for the weeks leading up to the conference.
Pre-Conference Presentations and Learning Opportunities
The pre-conference presentations will run between August 31st and September 23rd with two presentations each week for a total of eight (8) sessions covering topics such as, “The Importance of Alignment and a Culture of Excellence”, and “How Construction 4.0 Will Influence Future Asset Management Decisions and Processes”.
Two PEMAC courses are being offered in association with the conference at significantly discounted rates. Firstly, Module 1 of the Maintenance Management Professional education program, “An Integrated Strategy for Maintenance Management” will run from September 23rd - 24th. Secondly, the course, “Becoming an Asset Management Assessor”, a CAMA exam preparation course will also be running on the same dates.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held on the evening of the first day of the main conference and will recognize the contributions PEMAC members have made in enabling and achieving excellence in maintenance, reliability and asset management within the organization they serve, and exemplifying leadership and championing the value these professions bring to organizations of all sizes.
"In 2020 MainTrain moved online with timing that catered to all of Canada's six time zones. It was a huge success for participants, sponsors and speakers. It, combined with a year of virtual life, has taught us a lot about running online events. This year's MainTrain 2021, cautiously still online, promises to be even better. MainTrain has always attracted many excellent speakers and topic proposals. This year we exceeded our targets and expectations. So much so that we've increased the number of speakers and topic "tracks". There are more options, plenty of virtual networking opportunities and sponsored events. Engagement with sponsors and exhibitors can be even more direct and personal in this format. Don't miss it, MainTrain 2021 promises to be an amazing experience. I am looking forward to seeing you there!." - Jim Reyes-Picknell, MainTrain Committee
