Alberta Chapter - Hello and Goodbye
PEMAC and the Alberta Chapter would like to take a moment to thank Claire Russell for her years of dedicated service as MMP Program Coordinator at Northern Lakes College and Alberta Chapter Member-at-Large. Claire's professionalism and dedication to providing a high level of customer service over the years has been instrumental in helping to build the excellent reputation of the online offering of the MMP Program. Claire was also always ready to help with Chapter activities and provided significant support for MainTrain conferences.
The live online offering of the MMP Program at Northern Lakes College will now become the responsibility of Edith Mackenzie. Happily Edith has agreed to serve as a Member-at-Large on the Alberta Chapter executive as well. Edith is the supervisor of the WorkForce Development Department at Northern Lakes College. She has been coordinating training for Northern Lakes College for the past 27 years. Working in the College's vast service region providing education services to companies and communities has given Edith a unique perspective on how to make training accessible and relevant. Over the past 3 years WorkForce Development has been delivering more training "live online" helping both instructors and students get comfortable using the technology. Edith has led this development in the unit increasing her knowledge and expertise how to support a good learning experience for participants. Edith is a great believer that learning is lifelong and educational opportunities need to be accessible no matter where you reside.
