PEMAC members are actively coordinating effort to realize value from physical assets when physical assets are central to the mission of the organization. The organizations we support (individually and collectively) through our knowledge, skills, products & services have at least one of the following characteristics:
high consequence of failure such as airports
capital intensive such as municipal infrastructure
process intensive such as water, chemical, or manufacturing plants
This means that we have a tremendous influence on our organization's profitability and success but also on society as a whole. We take this responsibility seriously and continuously look for opportunities to improve our performance.
Global Leadership
We are active and contributing members to the "Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management" working globally to align theory and practice in this developing profession.
Other members of the Global Forum include the Asset Management Council (Australia), the Institute for Asset Management (UK), the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), the Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability (GSMR), the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS), the Japan Institute for Plant Maintenance (JIPM), Japan Association of Asset Management (JAAM), ABRAMAN (Brazil), IFRAMI (France), Belgian Maintenance Association (BEMAS), Southern African Asset Management Association (SAAMA), Malaysian Asset and Project Management Association (MAPMA).
We are also a founding members of the World Partners in Asset Management working to develop globally recognized credentials. This effort began with the development of the CAMA certification which is currently available in many countries and now includes a competency-based certification scheme which is offered by the member societies including PEMAC.
Other members of the World Partners include ABRAMAN (Brazil), the Asset Management Council (Australia), EFNMS European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (Europe), the Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability (GSMR), Japan Association of Asset Management (JAAM), SMRP Society of Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (USA), and Southern African Asset Management Association (SAAMA).
