Nova Scotia Chapter Hosts Open House, Answering the Question "Who The Heck is PEMAC?"

The Nova Scotia Chapter of PEMAC hosted an engaging Open House event on May 30th. The event allowed individuals from the maintenance and asset management community to learn about the advantages of PEMAC’s programs and membership, and hear how they have benefited members in the field.

Highlights from the Event:

Mike Crowell, MMP, Maintenance Director at Irving Forest Services, shared insights on how the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) Program has significantly benefited Irving's Pulp and Paper Division mills, with over 40 employees achieving their MMP certification in the last decade.

Josh VanAndel, CAMP, Project Manager at Halifax Water described the benefits of taking PEMAC's 6-course Asset Management Professional program and achieving his Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) designation.

Mike Connors, MMP, Maintenance Manager and Jeshua Jeffrey, Fleet Manager from the Municipal Group of Companies, both MMP graduates, presented their capstone project and discussed the practical benefits of their training.

The event also included information on the upcoming MainTrain 2024 conference in Saint John, NB, and an overview of the Nova Scotia chapter’s past achievements and future plans.
