Reinstatement

Certification Reinstatement

If you have not met CPD requirements -or- have let your Certification lapse by not renewing there are different requirements depending on the expiry date on your certification.

Case 1 - your expiry date is in the future

  • You will still have a login ID and access to the PEMAC member features of the website
  • Your Certification status will be marked as “Out of Compliance” and your name will drop from the list of Certified individuals
  • Bring your CPD into compliance and notify CPD Admin team to have your certification status updated

Case 2 - your certification has been expired < 1 year

  • You will still have a login ID and access to a list of your expired certifications
  • Log in to renew your certification
    • How: Find your certifications and related action button(s) on the  “My Account” page.
  • Bring CPD into compliance and notify CPD Admin team to have your certification status updated

Case 3 - your certification has been expired 1 or more years

  • Purchase an individual membership (unless you have member access through another means such as another Certification).
  • The membership will give you access to the Shared Learning Library, which has resources you can use towards fulfilling your CPD requirements across a broad range of topics. It will also give you access to the CPD tracker for logging your hours.
  • Complete and log at least 40 hours of Continuing Professional Development across at least 2 categories and with a maximum of 20 hours of professional practice. You can use any CPD that falls within the 365 days prior to your reinstatement application (step 3).
  • Complete the reinstatement application and pay the non-refundable $75 fee.
  • Allow up to 3 weeks for your application to be processed.
  • Once you are reinstated the 'starting line' for your CPD requirements will be the July 1st before your certification was reinstated.  The first time your CPD activity will be reviewed will be 3 years from your 'starting line'.
